Clear Skin, Redefined: Treating Broken Capillaries & Redness
What Are Broken Blood Vessels? Often appearing as tiny red “spider webs,” branching lines, or permanent rosy flushes on the nose and cheeks, these are actually dilated capillaries (Telangiectasia).
They occur when the tiny valves inside the vein weaken or when the vessel walls lose elasticity, causing blood to pool and the vein to remain permanently open. Common triggers include Sun Damage, Rosacea, Genetics, Trauma (aggressive scrubbing), and extreme temperature changes. Unlike a pimple, these red lines will not go away on their own; they require medical intervention to close the vessel.
Our Advanced Vascular Treatments
We use a targeted approach to “shut down” these visible veins without damaging the surrounding skin.
1. Vascular Laser Therapy (The Gold Standard)
-
The Technology: We utilize Long Pulse Nd:YAG and specialized vascular laser wavelengths.
-
How It Works: The laser energy is selectively absorbed by the hemoglobin (red pigment) inside the blood vessel. This heat instantly coagulates the blood, causing the vessel wall to collapse.
-
The Result: The body naturally absorbs the collapsed vein over a few weeks, leaving clear, unblemished skin. It is often described as “magic erasing” for distinct red lines.
2. RF Ablation & Electro-Coagulation
-
The Precision Tool: For very fine, isolated red spots (Cherry Angiomas) or tiny spider veins that are difficult to target with a large laser beam.
-
How It Works: We use a fine, hair-thin needle probe to deliver a burst of Radiofrequency (RF) or Electrical energy directly into the vessel.
-
The Result: Immediate disappearance of the spot.
3. Anti-Vascular Mesotherapy
-
For Diffuse Redness: Ideal for patients with Rosacea or general flushing who don’t just have lines, but a “red background” to their skin.
-
The Cocktail: We inject micro-doses of Tranexamic Acid and anti-inflammatory agents into the skin.
-
The Benefit: This constricts the superficial capillaries and calms the chronic inflammation, significantly reducing the “flushed” look.
4. Topical Management
-
Supportive Care: While creams cannot remove an existing spider vein, they are essential for preventing new ones.
-
Prescriptions: We prescribe medical-grade serums containing Vitamin K (to strengthen vessel walls) and soothing anti-inflammatory botanicals to reduce skin reactivity.
Maintenance: Preventing Recurrence
Vascular issues are often chronic. If you are prone to them, new ones may appear over time.
-
Sun Protection: UV rays thin the skin and weaken blood vessels. SPF 50+ is your best defense against new spider veins.
-
Avoid Triggers: Spicy foods, extreme heat (saunas/steam), and alcohol can dilate vessels and should be managed if you have Rosacea.
-
Touch-ups: An annual “cleanup” laser session is often recommended to treat any new vessels that appear.
Why Consultation is Mandatory
Treating vascular issues requires a diagnostic eye. A consultation with Dr. Ummair Saeed Mian is strictly required.
-
Diagnosis: We must distinguish between simple cosmetic spider veins and underlying vascular disease (like Rosacea or deeper venous insufficiency).
-
Safety: Lasers target color. Using the wrong settings on darker skin tones can cause burns. We calibrate our devices specifically for your skin type to ensure the laser targets the vein, not your skin.
